The Eagles won their first two soccer games of the season on the road.

SoBoCo first thumped Osage by a 7-0 score with Ian McClusky scoring three goals, Parker Tergin scoring twice and single goals by Reece Gilmore and Maguire Scheer.

At Boonville, the Eagles found themselves backpedaling as the Pirates were more than just staying with the Eagles. Both teams had moments when their offenses played well, but neither team could score.

The Eagles scored when McCluskey got off a shot and Nolan Groseclose banged home the rebound.

However, the game was saved by Eagles goalie Hugh Keene.

Keene, a senior, made several one-on-one stops and, in the closing minutes, stopped a penalty shot that would have tied the game.
