The Southern Boone Eagles will send two runners to Saturday’s state champioinship cross country meet.
Juniors Cassey Poole and Isaac Smith qualified for the state meet.
Poole, who won the Tri-County Conference individual title, placed 5th in Saturday’s district meet. Smith, who is running his fastest times this fall, placed 12th in the district meet. The top 15 runners in each district qualify for the state meet.
Coach Crystal Branch said both Eagles runners could crack the top 20, earning All State honors.
