After rolling past district foe Mexico last Tuesday, the SoBoCo Eagles found the competition at the Rolla Tournament bigger and faster. Add injuries to that and the Eagles came home with losses to Ozark and Rolla and a 1-1 tie with Battle.
Eagles soccer player Brett Brookshire scored a goal this weekend at the Rolla Tournament.
“We knew it would be a tough weekend,” said Eagles coach Chris Miller and we had an injured goal keeper and our best scorer was sick to make things tougher.”
But along with the injury report, Miller noted that the Eagles created plenty of opportunities, but could not always finish.
SoBoCo lost to Ozark 1-0 then turned around and played Battle to a 1-1 tie – both games without goalie Nick Grabner, who broke his nose during the 7-0 win at Mexico.
