The SoBoCo Eagles boys and girls basketball teams will both face the Boonville Pirates on Sunday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.

The 24th anniversary MFA Oil-Break Time Shootout on Sunday, January 22 at Mizzou Arena will match top teams from the state of Missouri. This annual fundraiser for the Show-Me STATE GAMES will bring in 12 high school basketball teams to play at Mizzou Arena, home of the Missouri Tigers.

The 2017 schedule of games includes:

12 p.m. – Glasgow vs. Lincoln (boys) 1:30 p.m. – Southern Boone vs. Boonville (girls)

3 p.m. – Southern Boone vs. Boonville (boys)

4:45 p.m. – Salisbury vs. Sacred Heart (boys) 6:15 p.m. – Tolton Catholic vs. Hickman (girls)

8 p.m. – Tolton Catholic vs. Harrisburg (boys)

Tickets are $8 at participating schools and area Break Times. Tickets will be $10 at Mizzou Arena on game day.

For the Eagles, it will be the first time for the girls to play in the Shootout.

The Eagles were defeated by Boonville on Thursday in the California Tournament championship game by a 56-52 score. The Eagles boys have not faced the Pirates this season. SoBoCo, still unbeaten at 12-0.

While the Pirates and Eagles have faced off in recent years, this season’s MFA Shootout is the forerunner of many games in the future – Boonville will be joining the Tri-County Conference in the 2018 school year.
