The SoBoCo Eagles got outstanding pitching from Ashley Osborne and strung together enough hits at the plate to score multiple runs in three innings to defeat the Warsaw Wildcats 9-1 on Monday in their home opener.

For coach Ashley Anderson, it was good to see the Eagles offense continue to chip away at the plate, after a second-place finish at the Hallsville Tournament with a pair of wins to open the season.

Eagles softball finished 2nd in the Hallsville Tournament last week.

The Eagles played Fatima on Tuesday, see bocojo.com for results. SoBoCo is 3-1 after taking second in the Hallsville Tournament.

“We combined our hits tonight and we were very disciplined at the plate,” Anderson said. “When that happens, we can usually do some stuff.”

What the Eagles did was put constant pressure on the Wildcats defense, resulting in a few Warsaw errors and the Eagles took advantage.
