The SoBoCo Eagles softball team dropped their second game of the year this past week to Fatima, but they also defeated conference opponent Eldon. They then defeated Tolton 7-4 on Monday to lift their record to 5-2 on the season.

SoBoCo Eagles pitcher Ashley Osborne has been keeping batters off-balance.

The Eagles gave up the early lead at Tolton but, trailing 2-0, they scored runs to go ahead in the third inning 3-2. But the momentum changed again and Tolton tied the Eagles 3-3 in the bottom half of the inning.

SoBoCo went ahead for good with RBI hits by Dani Post, Cam Shaller and Jaydn Wren to score two runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Post, Shaller and Wren had two RBIs each and Brookelle Barnum had an RBI as the Eagles continued to hit well with runners on base. Those base runners got themselves into scoring position with 9 Eagles steals during the game – two of them by left fielder Carrie Ponder.

Ashley Osborne started the game and got the win and Cam Shaller got the save.
