The SoBoCo Eagles football team had another productive team camp last week as well as a great day at Central Methodist University and coach Trent Tracy said Monday.

“We had a good week of practice here at school and then we attended the CMU camp and played some good competition.”

The Eagles stepped up in competition, in fact, in most of their scrimmages. SoBoCo faced Tri-County Conference foe California, then smaller schools Cole Camp and Westran, but also bigger schools Sedalia Smith-Cotton, Eldorado Springs and Mountain View Liberty.

Each scrimmage included a set number of downs on offense and defense in each matchup with no kicking game.

“We had 41 kids in camp and a couple of kids missing due to baseball, some vacations and so on,” said Tracy. We only have six seniors this next year, but all are starters and major contributors.”
