Eagles have four named All Region

The SoBoCo Eagles soccer team had four players named to the All Region Team for Districts 9-12 this past week.

At the top of that list was senior Sam Salmons, who was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Also named from the Eagles squad were goal keeper Hugh Keene, freshman forward Rece Gilmore and senior forward Ian McCluskey.

The Boonville Pirates, who defeated the Eagles in a Sectional overtime thriller, had four players named to the All Region team, including the top goal scorer in the area, Alec Adair.

Father Tolton, who the Eagles defeated for the district title, had two players named – midfielder Sammy Gonzales and forward Jayton Johnson and Fatima and Springfield Catholic had four and three players each named to the team.

Rounding out the squad were players from Cassville, Logan-Rogersville, Fair Grove and Oak Grove.
