The SoBoCo Eagles softball team was surprised and shut out in the semi-final round of district play on Thursday evening.

SoBoCo was blanked by host school Sullivan 3-0. The Eagles’ Ashley Osborne pitched well enough to win the game, however, the offense never really woke up at the plate.

SoBoCo was down early 2-0 and Sullivan tacked on another run.

SoBoCo second baseman Kate Ponder led off the 5th inning with a double and it looked as though the Eagles comeback was cranking up. However, the Eagles could not push a single run across the plate.

Sullivan will play Helias Friday night for the district title while the Eagles end their softball season.
