Eagles complete outstanding soccer season

Capped off by an unexpected trip to the Final Four, the Eagles soccer team realized much more than was expected of them this season.

A few extra “kicks” from the 2017 Eagles soccer season:

• Priory, who defeated SoBoCo in the semifinals, defeated Lincoln College Prep by an identical 3-0 score.

• Sacred Heart, a team the Eagles defeated 1-0 at the end of the season, lost the Class 1 state championship match 1-0 to Bishop LeBlond.

• This is SoBoCo’s fourth trip to the Final Four with one second place, two third place fnishes and a fourth place trophy.

• Two well-known opponents for the Eagles did not qualify for the Final Four – John Burroughs, who defeated the Eagles earlier this year, lost to Priory and Springfield Catholic lost to Monett – both in the Sectional round of play.
