The SoBoCo Eagles soccer team will not be returning to the Final Four in 2016.

The Eagles were bounced from the playoffs in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Boonville Pirates in Boonville on Tuesday night.

SoBoCo took the early lead with 17-minutes left in the first half when Ian McCluskey scored. However, the Pirates came right back to tie the game three minutes later and the two teams stayed tied throughout the second half.

SoBoCo had their chances to win in the second half of the fast-paced game, however, the Pirates goalie made a pair of saves on plays by McCluskey and Maguire Scheer early in the second half to keep the game tied.

The Eagles kept the ball on the Boonville end nearly the entire second half, but could not put the ball in the net.

Boonville got their golden goal to win the game with 7:30 left in the overtime. The Pirates will face Monett this Saturday in the quarterfinal game.

The Eagles end their season with a 17-7-2 record.
