Sonja K. Phillips, age 80, of Ashland passed away April 16 , 2019 at the Lakeside Meadows Nursing home in Osage Beach. Sonja was born May 8, 1938 in Owensville, the daughter of Ewing and Dorothy Jean Edward, Lane. She married Jimmy Phillips on November 10, 1962 in New Bloomfield and he preceded her in death. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield. Sonja and her sisters (The Lane Sisters) are well known for their singing.
Funeral Services will be held on April 18, 2019 at 11:00am at Robinson Funeral Home with burial following in New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am
Survivors include her children, Kim (Jerry) Bowden of Lake Ozark, Lane (Mary) Phillips of Ashland and Dru (Michelle) Phillips of Springfield; four sisters, Rita Renoe of New Bloomfield, JoAnn (Bo) Cane of Ashland , Twyla Nistendirk of Springfield and Terry Cramer of Rolla; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Todd Phillips
