Mary Helen Sims

Mary Helen Sims, 81, of Ashland was called home by her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 21, 2016.

Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, at Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside service were Tuesday, July 26, at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Belleville, Ill.

Mary Helen was born and raised in the state of Louisiana. She moved to Missouri when she was 15 where she married Chester L. “Bud” Sims Jr. in December 1950.

Survivors include three children, Judy Collins of Ashland, Ron Sims (Kathy) of Iowa, and Tom Sims of Florida; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and siblings, J.C. Francois of Boyce, La., and Ethel Francois of Columbia.
