Mary Harris 1929-2017

Mary Elizabeth Harris, 88, of Ashland, formerly of Mexico, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services were held 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation was held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Mary was born on February 27, 1929 in Mexico, the daughter of Emmett and Lucy (Farris) Belcher.

Mary is survived by her children, Robert Harris of Davenport, IA, Linda Rummans of Springfield, IL, Thomas Harris of Rock Island, IL, Carol Jackson (Ron) of Springfield, IL, David Harris of Ashland, Charles Harris (Debbie) of Charleston, SC, Lucy Summerton (Jerry ) of Columbus, WI, Albert Harris (Myrna) of Los Angeles, CA, Dan Harris (Lovie) of Adelanto, CA, Moria Britt (Charles) of Ashland, and James Harris (Beryl) of Santa Ana, CA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Belcher of Mexico.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Clifford, Cleo, John and George Belcher, and Alice Lyons. Mary loved to read the bible and listen to music, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
