Marsha Aitken 1964-2018

Marsha Lynn Aitken, 54, of Ashland, MO passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born January 28, 1964 in Columbia, Mo., the daughter of Bobby and Faye Lewis. 

Marsha graduated from Southern Boone County R1, in 1982. She spent her working life in the University of Missouri ASRC Department as an Administrative Assistant. Marsha married Timothy Ray Aitken on January 16, 1993 in Ashland at the New Salem Baptist Church. She was an avid quilter and was an active member of the New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include, her husband Timothy of Ashland; her parents, Bobby and Faye Lewis of Ashland; a stepson Shawn Aitken of St. Louis, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Chelsey Wren (Lucas) of Ashland; a brother, David Lewis (Jodie) of Ashland; two sisters Nancy Toalson (Leslie) of Hallsville, Mo., and Janet Sapp (Dennis) of Ashland; one grandson, Silas Aitken of St. Louis, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Marsha was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Faye Lewis and her grandparents, Robert and Ollie Lewis and Roy and Reba Sapp.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27th, 2018 at the New Salem Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Robinson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the New Salem Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society c/o Robinson Funeral Home, 601 N. Henry Clay Blvd, Ashland, MO 65010. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home.
