Christopher R. Vogt of New Bloomfield, passed away January 15, 2019 at his home. Chris was born August 5, 1958 in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Vincent and Lorene Vogt, both deceased. He is survived by Kathy Vogt, his wife of 32 years, two sons, Adam Vogt and Noah Vogt of Kansas City, his brother, Phil (Beth) Vogt of Appleton, Wisconsin, his sister, Paula Vogt, of Overland Park, Kansas,and a couple dozen nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Chris was a 1976 graduate of Maur Hill Prep School in Atchison, Kansas and a 1986 graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia. He worked in Kansas City at International Transit and Storage for many years as a warehouse manager before moving back to Mid-Missouri towork for Jones Power Sports. In recent years he worked for Cedar Creek Grazing Association and raised cattle at his home. He was an active Scout Leader with Troup 364 in Grandview, Missouri while his sons were growing up. He spent his vacations with the boys at scout camp, weekends on campouts with the troop and so many family projects at the home in Grandview. In recent years he enjoyed spending time with his family on the farm raising his cattle and observing local wildlife.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland, Mo. Doors open at 1:00 p.m., Service at 1:30, Visitation 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
