Ashland’s Richard Sullivan became the new Ward Two alderman as he took the oath of office along with those retaining their seats: Gene Rhorer as Mayor, Leslie Martin and Danny Clay representing Ward One and Rick Lewis representing Ward Three.

Martin will be serving a one year term, fullfilling the rest of the late George Campbell’s term.

• The board approved Ernie Wren as a member of the Parks and Recreation board.

• The aldermen approved Lyn Woolford in the dual role of police chief and city administrator.

• The aldermen approved Jeff Kays as city attorney and prosecutor, Darla Sapp as city clerk, Alderman Jeff Sapp as the P&Z liaison and Jesse Bronson as Park Board liaison.

• Rick Lewis was voted to be the Mayor Pro-Tem.
