A new Lions club becomes official in Ashland on Sunday, Oct. 8, when over 21 men and women celebrate the charter night of the Ashland Centennial Lions Club.

The meeting will be held at the Copper Kettle at 3 p.m.

During the ceremonies, Don Noland an International Director of St. Peters, Mo., one of 17 elected worldwide, and District Governor Bob Noellsch of Bowling Green, the Lions District Governor, will present the members of the new club with their official charter.

Members of the Columbia Rock Bridge Lions Club, who sponsored the formation of the Ashland Centennial Lions Club, will also be on hand to congratulate members of the new club.

“I am proud to welcome these men and women into Lions,” said Bob Noellsch, Lions District Governor. “Ashland will be proud to have such a fine group serving their community.”
