Koster gets NRA endorsement

The National Rifle Association is backing Democratic Attorney General Chris Koster the Missouri governor’s race.
The NRA’s political action committee announced on Tuesday that it endorsed Koster over his GOP opponent Eric Greitens.
Greitens is a former Navy SEAL officer and former Democrat. Koster, however, is a former Republican.
Greitens utilized advertisements in his Republican Primary race in which he fired weapons, causing large explosions and said he would “take aim” at big government. The ad garnered plenty of attention and just enough votes for Greitens to win the primary.
However, since the primary, Greitens has had difficulty raising campaign donations and getting endorsements.
Koster is the only Democratic statewide candidate in Missouri the NRA has endorsed. Koster was also endorsed by the Missouri Farm Bureau in August.
