Hartsburg celebrates Fourth this weekend

When it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July, Hartsburg plans for plenty of fireworks and fun – they just choose to celebrate the weekend after the actual day.

The annual celebration, on Saturday, July 14, will be complete with games, food, fireworks and fun – starting with the Southern Boone YMCA hosting a kickball tournament beginning at noon. There will also be a bounce house, a dunking booth, face painting, hula-hoop making and other games.

The Hartsburg Lions Club will be providing concessions throughout the day and raising funds.

The annual fireworks display will begin at dark and be provided by Eagle Flight Fireworks.
