First Responders Appreciation Event

The first Southern Boone First Responders Appreciation Event will be held Monday, Oct. 2 at Ashland City Park at 6 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Helping Hands of Southern Boone.

The event will include a flag ceremony, speakers, live music and dinner.

The event is free of charge and community members are welcome to bring a covered dish to share.

Organizers of the event told Southern Boone Chamber members at their meeting last week that they thought it was important to recognize and thank local First Responders for all that they do for the Southern Boone community.
