Assembly for America’s Favorite Crossing Guard

The Southern Boone School District was awarded $10,000 last Tuesday at an assembly for Chief Lyn Woolford after winning the title ‘America’s Favorite Crossing Guard.’

The Safe Kids and FedEx organizations launched the America’s Favorite Crossing Guard campaign to raise awareness about the tremendous contribution that crossing guards make to keeping kids safe in school zones.

The school district will use the funds for future safety projects.
