Beauty is a matter of opinion so it goes to reason that what is ordinary is also a matter of opinion. Even the most ordinary things you see can hold some beauty inside them. In this year’s show it will be up to the artist to draw the beauty out of the ordinary and present it for our observation.

Mid-Missouri Arts Alliance is presenting their 5th Annual Summer Art Show, Ordinary Beauty, July 11th through August 12th. The opening reception will be July 15th from 6pm to 8pm at the Art Center and Gallery located at 115 E. Broadway in Ashland. The reception is open to the public and refreshments will be provided.

There are a couple of new twists to this year’s show. Twist number one is this will be the first show in their new home. “We have held our summer show in the past at Central Bank of Boone County and are deeply grateful for their support”, says Board President Tracy Eichhorn, “but it is super exciting to host the show in our own space.”
